is Act Now Comal?

WHO

Act Now Comal is a group of Comal County, TX residents who are advocating for Responsible Development within Comal County’s Aquifer Sensitive Zones

WHAT

are we trying to do?

PROMOTE COMMUNITY AWARENESS

We aim to enhance awareness within the community regarding high-density development activities in or around the aquifer-sensitive zones of Comal County.

COLLABORATE EFFORTS WITH COMAL COUNTY COMMISSIONER'S COURT (CCCC)?

We want to collaborate with the Comal County Commissioners Court to help define parameters with a joint committee comprising a court member/s, county staff, citizens, and local developers. This committee will explore best practices in similar counties and make recommendations to the Court, including:

  1. Revised Subdivision Regulations for Comal County

  2. Formal Requests to the Texas Legislature for necessary authority to implement recommendations

  3. Updated practices for county staff to ensure effective implementation of county regulations

IMPLEMENT LOT WIDTH & SIZE STANDARDS

We support increasing the minimum lot widths and establishing minimum lot sizes of one acre within the aquifer zones of Comal County.
